The Aylmer Police Services Board and Chief of Police, Zvonko Horvat are pleased to announce that Sergeant Nick Novacich has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief.

Deputy Chief Novacich is in his 26th year of Policing. He was an Auxiliary member with Aylmer Police Service before joining Woodstock Police Service as a Constable. He then went to Guelph Police Service where he was a tactical team member and a team leader. He moved closer to home and joined St. Thomas Police Service and then transferred to Aylmer Police Service. Deputy Chief Novacich has been with Aylmer Police Service for 13 years responsible for operational and administrative duties and front line supervision. The Deputy Chief position was implemented to better serve the needs of the community, create efficiencies and provide leadership and guidance consistent with the needs of Aylmer Police Service. “Deputy Chief Novacich is an integral member of our leadership team with vast operational and community knowledge and I look forward to working with him in his new capacity.” Comments Chief Horvat
